The Consortium of Global Hakka Studies (GHAS) functions as an academic platform of dialogue and communication for international Hakka and ethnic studies. GHAS aims to promote Hakka and ethnic research in Taiwan and around the world. Through academic communication and research exchange, we hope to achieve the goal of joint research and academic publication. In addition, regular Hakka and ethnic research conferences will be held to promote the visibility of Hakka studies in the array of global ethnic studies, and to enhance the quality and quantity of Hakka studies, as a way to expand the horizons of ethnic research.
